Library's print and electronic
reference collection provides both basic and in-depth
information resources in the social sciences, the humanities,
and the hard sciences.
The
library's reference collection supports the college's certificate
and degree programs.
A reference tool can be loosely defined as an information
tool: 1. used to locate other, more in-depth information (such
as an index,or a bibliography), or 2.
used to locate very specific and usually brief information
(such as a dictionary, a handbook or an encyclopedia).
Print
reference sources do not circulate and are located in the
Library's Reference Area.
Online reference tools are available and listed in the library's online
catalog -CamCat-
and in Facts, Overviews and More!
Recommendations
for print and electronic reference sources are welcome and
can be made to Miriam
Mlynarski.
Some
items circulate to faculty only. These are shelved
on the first floor.
Visual
media items that circulate to all borrowers are
intershelved with circulating books on the second
and third floors.
Faculty
are encouraged to make collection recommendations.
